Hotel Sorea Urán

A 3 star review for a 3 star hotel. Breakfast, for the most part, is poor. In quality and variety. Dinner wasn't bad, with a choice of soup, maybe 3 choices of main, and a "desert" which was always pointless. The bar in the lobby is severely under stocked. You cannot get still water there. And the choice of alcoholic beverage is disappointing, but it served. There is a pool table in the lobby, Which costs 5 cent per minute, Which is ok. The bedroom suite was again ok. It had a tiny fridge. Unbelievably there wasn't even a kettle, which is a first for me. The bed was comfortable, the sofa, not so much. In the toilet, the extractor fan didn't work, which let the toilet constantly stink. This was brought to the receptionist attention, and she said that it did work but would be extremely quiet....... 'Pull the other on' comes to mind. In the sitting room you can hear everything nextdoor. Yes. Every little thing 126. So if you have children, I hope you don't have to explain what the bit of afternoon delight is. Better than fighting I suppose. Location is very good. Only a 5 minute walk through a little short cut to the slopes. It has been said, but I'll say it again. €9 per person to use the pool for hotel guests is straight up crazy, how it is done is beyond me. All in all, I couldn't see myself returning to this hotel, the value just isn't there.

Hotel well located on the main road and close to the ski slopes. If you take a shortcut through the parking lots it is very close to ski lifts - within short walk distance. Good food, helpful staff, free parking (although the one at the main entrance is not large). Rooms need updating - old furniture and bathrooms, but it does not bother, because rooms are clean. Great view from room we had windows facing ski slopes and Lomnica Peak. Great pool. A place worth visiting.

So we were at tho hotel for 5 days in an apartment. The staff was very nice, the room was clean, the cooking was good. But expect more of an Slovak "retro" dishes, no organic, no paleo, no raw and there is no avocado in sight 😄. The room was standard, TV, small fridge, couches, beds, even a writing table. But when booking, try to ask for a room, where the toilet seat fits the toilet. For me, that was really not comfortable. And the wifi could not hold a skype conversation. The download was enough, but the upload was bad, so the person on the other side barely heard every second word even if the video was off. All in all I would go back anyway. The pool was great, kids liked the kid pool and the wellness pool was good for swimming and relaxing.
